Priming the inhaler is essential to ensure each spray delivers the correct dose of albuterol Prime the inhaler before first use, if it hasnÂ’t been used for more than 2 weeks, or if it has been dropped To prime, shake well and release 4 sprays into the air away from your face For each dose, shake the inhaler, exhale fully, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press down on the inhaler while breathing in slowly and deeply Hold your breath for 10 seconds, then exhale Repeat for the number of puffs prescribed by your doctor After use, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out to reduce the risk of irritation
